hello. my name is steve, or stephen, if you're not into the whole brevity thing. i'm 26, have been in london for about two years after six years up in county durham, and have an aversion to upper case letters in web design, as you will have noticed.
the keiretsu part comes from my band. music is my main thing, be it performing, producing, mixing, or listening.
as a solo producer, i have a handful of releases in goa trance and various rumours of drum'n'bass releases that haven't yet come to fruition. nothing much basically.
i work for vso uk as their web officer, so i try and keep up with web design. i do xhtml+css, php+mysql, and a wee drop of js. i was co-founder and ex-manager of dnbscene.com (RIP), and i'm now a mod over at 'the grid' on doa.
though less experienced, i also enjoy doing a bit of graphic design for print, having done a couple of cd booklets for keiretsu and one for cell recordings. especially since i have now acquired a camera and started getting into photography, i am always up for more commissions for cd art or fliers ;)
hopefully this website should work in everything. i'm quite a grumpy old man when it comes to web standards, but i don't feel inclined to get into that now. plenty of other people have it covered.
other things i like include the usual pubbing / clubbing / drinking / socialising routine; crosswords, scrabble, go; sunshine; science-fiction in many forms; and walking, especially in beautiful countryside like yorkshire, dartmoor, the cornish coast and the lake district. which i sadly don't do nearly often enough, although for no real reason except my own laziness.
